How to Register for Accommodations at UMass Lowell

Students who are requesting an accommodation(s) based on a documented disability must submit the Public Accommodation Request form with adequate documentation of their disability. Our specialists review documentation as a team, once a week.

To register for Academic Accommodations, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Complete the Public Accommodation Request Form. Please note will need your student email and password to login.
  2. Upload your documentation to your completed Public Accommodation Request Form. Visit our Required Documentations page to view types documents we accept.
  3. Once this process is complete, you will need to check your UMass Lowell email account for a notification of when you can book an Intake Appointment with our office. Intake appointments can be scheduled once both the Public Accommodation Request Form and the documentation have been reviewed by our team of specialists. During this one on one meeting, our staff and student work together to establish an accommodation plan to help students to best access the course curriculum. Meetings are private and confidential.
